abstract
objectives: the aim of this study is to determine the prevalent of fecal outlet abstract obstruction (foo) and associated risk factors in women aged 40 and older. methods & materials: in this cross sectional study, a total of 800 women were 1- assistant professor, department of randomly selected via cluster sampling among residents of area zone 17 of tehran health management and and were interviewed at home. data was analyzed using chi-square and fisher exact economics, school of public health,tehran university of tests. medical sciences,tehran,iran. results: prevalence for foo cases was mild 36.5% (95% ci, 33–39%), medium 2-department of human ecology, school of public health, 8%(95% ci, 6–10%) and acute 0.5% (95% ci, 0.01–0.9%) which was only university of medical associated with age increase (p=0.006). there is a significant relationship between sciences,tehran,iran. * corresponding author : physical activity and morbidity of foo (p=0.004). foo was associated with [email protected] 3- associate professor, depressive and anxiety disorders, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, diabetes, chronic rasoolehakram hospital, iran cough, and chronic inflammatory bowel disease (p<0.005). university of medical sciences,tehran,iran. conclusion: this study underscores the prevalence rate of foo symptoms and its 4- assistant professor, underlying factors. it also considers lack of knowledge about this hidden epidemic rasoolehakram hospital, iran university of medical problem and its protective factors among women in iranian community and sciences,tehran,iran. 5- iran university of medical recommends further research to determine effective strategies for prevention, sciences, tehran, iran. education, screening and early treatment to promote women's health and quality of life.
